Like so many of his buyers, numerous holidays convinced him to make the big move. “Judy and I couldn’t resist the peace and beauty of Noosa with its-never ending green reserves, the sparkling waters of Laguna Bay and the pristine Noosa River,” says Mal adding “we also liked how the community was fully involved in council’s decisions on projects which could have had a negative effect on the natural environment.
“Each morning, I sit on the patio with my Border Collie, contemplate new challenges and opportunities and get excited about the rewarding and positive day ahead for me and my clients.
“I enjoy meeting people, and many become good friends. Listening to their needs is a pre-requisite as is achieving the best possible outcome.”
Mal regards referrals as the backbone of his business with many sellers and buyers expressing gratitude. He also understands the importance of working in a team and loves the auction process, especially when the reserve price is exceeded. “I have had sellers say they’ll accept the offer”, enthuses Mal who has been a volunteer at the Noosa Tewantin Sub Branch for the last ten years assisting service personnel past and present. “However, I have negotiated further with $100,000 more achieved for one seller and at another auction it was $300,000. All in a great day’s work!”
