Peter Tewhata
No stranger to hard work, perseverance and attention to detail is an ethos that was imprinted into Peter at a young age, with multiple part time jobs before leaving school, and working in the family business during holidays it would be a trait that would lead to success!
Stepping away from the family business to pursue a career in Aviation, would see a career spanning two decades and several countries.
In the early days of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, where he served his apprenticeship as an Aircraft Technician and achieved first place, to then step into NZ’s major airline within 5 years was unheard of, although Pete suggests he was adamant he was going to work on the “big planes” from a very young age.
With two young boys and one of them about to start school and the need for a change and a new challenge, Noosa was a serious front runner, having spent several holidays here and always saying... imagine living here!
It was soon to become a reality!
Arriving in Noosa in 2012 and finding work in short supply, Pete once again adapted and began contracting his skills to Several major airlines including RAAF, Boeing, Jet star & Qantas.
Lengthy stays working away and a commitment to the family after a Xmas break that there would be no more time spent away from the family, a career change was in order.
With a passion for property and people acquired from working in the family business, and a decade of investing, stepping into Real Estate was an exciting choice.
Thanks to a chance introduction to Tom, a path to a successful career in Real Estate had opened. With Tom’s steady hand on the ship, and the support of a great team, success was assured!
Albeit not without hard work, listening to clients needs, appreciation of being entrusted with their biggest asset and working hard to achieve a successful outcome, would this be possible.
Patience, honesty and integrity; coupled with a timely dose of humour are words that regularly describe Peter through his many happy clients & helps to form a partnership that will continue to develop for many years .
Most mornings you will find him up early walking the family dog “Matai’ around the neighbourhood or getting a quick surf in before starting work, weekends are spent with the family at the beach or mountain biking around many of Noosa’s cycle ways, kayaking Noosa sound or fishing off the many wharfs along Gympie terrace.
“It really is an amazing place to live, work and raise a family” Peter enthuses, “with all the things I valued as a child growing up on the out-skirts of Auckland right here at our fingertips, there is no where quite like it!”
“And to be in another career that I am passionate about and helping others acheive their dreams is just the icing on the cake!”
